I added a few sketches to the sketchbook this week and I feel like I’m really starting to discover a few cool things that may help out your own sketching, and I wanted to share a few of them with you.
One of the best things about sketching is the ability to try new ideas out without the fear of making mistakes. To take that further, some of the sketches below were studies from artists and illustrations like Donovan Valdes, Dike Ruan, Christopher Young, Anthony Jones, and Giseppe De Lure. Two things happen here, first, you get to work on the ‘immediateness’ of ink through scribbling, and second you get to ‘apprentice’ under your favorite artists. Which is a great way to shadow them and learn some of the techniques that they are using.
